The Council Meets

The New Gallifrey Council held another meeting lately. It was slightly short notice, but there was still a decent attendance rate. The meeting itself started off with a bit of good news: Apparently the resurgant Dalek Empire has hit a stall, as they seemed to have completely vanished from the grid. Indications are they were either attacked or had one of their experiments blow up in their faces. Still, this puts an end to a possible organized Dalek threat for the time being, though independant rogues could still be out there.
However, this news was slightly downturned by an object Cardinal Gears presented: a cybermat of local origin that he discovered in the Steelhead area. This could possibly mean a Cyberman presence in SL space, though there are no indications whether this was the work of a group of rogues or a larger, more organized group of Cybermen. Hopefully its the former, but either way, its a cause for concern.
Other topics discussed included the zombie plauge affecting the Babbage area, though we were largly advised to stay out of that officially, and a similar outbreak in the Who Island region.
Other minor topics included the introduction of the new Arcallian Cardinal, and a motion to include house banners in the Panopticon lobby.

House Dromian Finds A Home

I was pleasantly surprised today when I received a transmission on the 85's console. It seems that House Dromiean has a home once more. Upon arrival, I found the new Dromiean station to be an exquisite structure, and I commend Atragon and whoever may have assisted him in constructing it. Though slightly barren, admittedly, the station is still fully functional as a gathering and meeting place for out house. The station itself, as you can see in the image above, it a large stone and crystal structure positioned above a small planet.

The station seems quite functional, with multiple TARDIS landing spots, transmat system, and even an Alteran wormhole transport system (otherwise known as a Stargate). While not exactly stocked on furnishings, it does offer splendid views from the various balconies and walkways.

The new meeting hall is especially nice. Located at the top floor of the station, it features a large floating crystal chandelier which looks beautiful in my opinion. I look forward to our first meeting in this new place.

Dark Tidings

I was able to attend the meeting of the New Gallifrey council today, only to learn some grave tidings. For starters, our Lady President and daughter of Gallifrey, Sen Pixie, is apparently considered dead, lost activating the Eye of harmony beneath the Panopticon by installing a new singularity power source. Also...it turns out that the situation with the Daleks is even worse than I feared... Apparently they have somehow breached security on Zenobia station and gained eye technology for themselves. To top that, they have begun installing eyes in a new class of saucer ship. While not as powerful as true eyes, the ability to equip them to their ships, and indeed even having them at ALL is a dire bit of news. And for finals, they have already apparently been launching attacks, or at least incursions, into several areas on the grid, including New Babbage! How the heck did I miss THAT? Granted it could have happened while I was fouled up by that black hole but still...

The renegades composing the new House Scendles reared their heads, or at least head, as well. Their 'Cardinal' a being known as The Jinn, showed up early on, demanding his seat on the council and practically demanding the presidency itself! Of all the nerve... And his general rudeness to just about everyone there, especially Ms. Lightfoot, nearly had some of us about to test what effect a sonic device on maximum could do to an organic brain... Still, under our own rules, we were forced to acknowledge his seat, and his candidacy for President, though given that both Cardinal Gears and Castellan Solis are running against him...and the fact that just about all the Cardinals present seemed to...dislike him, I doubt his chances.

On a more positive note, the council agreed almost unianimously on the ratification of the new laws of time (ALMOST unanimously because shortly after demanding his seat, The Jinn left, thus abstaining on his vote by default. Heh). Also a more formal alliance with the Timeforce 10 was discussed and agreed upon by those members of that organization present. However Counciler Mornington still wishes to vote on the possible reformation of the CIA at the next meeting. Given recent events, I plan to put my support behind this, even if I have no actual voting power. Something must be done about the Daleks before this erupts into another Time War...

Catching Up After a Snag

Well, been a while since I last entered a log hasn't it? Yes, well, unfortunately I've been rather busy due to a malfunction, or really rather a quirk, in the stargate I installed in the 85.

You see, I'd decided to pay a visit to a space station I used to visit, only to find that it had been recently destroyed when the system its was in suffered a supernova. Unfortunately...I had no way of knowing and by the time I had used my gate to dial into the nearby space gate, the star had collapsed into a black hole. Luckily, I was able to compensate for the potentially disastrous consequences of connecting to such a gate, but unfortunately was initially unable to disengage my gate. This resulted in the wormhole 'tethering' the 85, leaving me suspended in the vortex 'near' those space/time coordinates. Luckily I was able to eventually break the connection, but it took me a while to rig up the appropriate device to generate the energy required. I am also happy to report that I later learned that the station's residents escaped prior to the disaster and are planning to rebuild elsewhere.

One free I made a stopover at the Cardiff reproduction to catch my breath and update my information. It seems the situation with the Daleks may be coming to a head. Another development is it seems that Councilor Mornington's created a new location that seems to double as a location he can work...away from prying eyes. I really should reinforce my support for him the next time we meet. Though I'm not sure about his pro-C.I.A. tendencies, I do support his criticism of the council's policies, and would like to help his acitivities, since my own house seems to be sloth in any activity whatsoever...

Office Space

With the recent end to current events in New Babbage, I took the time to finally address a part of the 85 that had been bugging me...namely the large empty space in the other half of my bedroom. I decided to convert it into a small office space, and thus made a quick stop to this nice furniture store I spotted during my explorations of Caledon to pick up a few items. While the result still seems a little...spacey, I think it came out quite nice. Plus...I now have a little space to store some of the nick knacks and other items I seem to accumulate during my travels.

On another note, I took the time to review some of the public logs of my fellow time lords, and I also share Councilor Mornington's concerns about the growning Dalek threat. ...I haven't yet talked to Ms. Knight about my concerns, given the result of our last conversation about the Daleks, but I suppose I should let her know about the developments.

Obolensky Defeated

Things seem to be comming to a close, at least for now, in New Babbage. Earlier today, a naval force made of up units from Steehead, Caledon, Steeltopia, and the New Babbage Militia engaged the Imperial Obolenskidonian Navy in a pitched battle just off shore from the Doctor's Observatory Island. Though his own forces fought valiantly, even managing to sink the Caledonian Force's flagship, they were eventually overwhelmed and pushed back. The Alliance's leaders demanded Obolensky's surrender, but the the Doctor managed to escape.

Though I wasn't able to witness, later news came in that the Doctor later perished while attempting to use his giant 'clank' automation named Lord Smashington, in a possible last attempt to regain control. Apparently the clank exploded, though no body was found. Still, things seem to be quieting down here at the moment, so I guess this means I'll be moving on to more interesting areas as well...after I stop by Zenobia Altera for a drink that is.

Events Heat Up In New Babbage

Well, that was certainly interesting... The remains of the militia gathered today and made a strike against the captured headquarters building, retaking it and nearly capturing Ashiko Kuroe in the process.

Captain Kuroe
Unfortunatly, it seems he was able to take a hostage, and he and his associates fled aboard an airship to city hall. I myself arrived just prior to the attack, and unfortunatly so did Doctor O's right hand man, Mr. Merricks. Merricks was knocked unconcious only, luckily. I decided to make sure he was spared by helping him out of the area, and over to city hall, ironically. There we met up with Kuroe, who announced his intentions to return to Armada Breakaway and abandon New Babbage for now. On their way out of the city's waters, I assume they dropped off Mr Merricks back at the doctor's obervatory.
I was questioned by pursuing members of the militia, however they identified me as neutral and sent me on my way. Curious to how things would fare for the Obolensky forces, however, I used the underwater tunnels to return to the Doctor's lair, once again running into Mr. Merricks and a couple of the doctor's other associates. Though it appears that though the resistance has managed to retake about 2/3rds of the city, Obolensky's naval admiral is bringing in a fleet that could mean a possible quick end to the uprising...
